Midnight.
My clock just rolled over to midnight. That means I am officially done with my Master’s degree program. Everything has been turned in. The final portfolio, all 50 pages of it, is in the hands of the committee. I am reasonably confident that my final project will be judged worthy of a Master’s degree in education.
That said, the odd part will be not having school work to do anymore. I started this program just a few months after starting my teaching career. Basically, my entire time as a teacher has been partly defined by completing coursework in addition to all of the other teaching duties.
Now, no more graduate courses. What will I do with my time? How can I work to be a better teacher now that this chapter of formal education is completed? What’s the next big challenge?
