Apparently the stove in our new apartment hates us. It is leaking gas, so the gas company came by today, shut it down, put a giant red caution-type sticker on it and told us to have the landlord fix it before turning it back on. One thing I miss.
It is nearly 80 degrees here in Houston at the end of January. I just took a 45 minute walk while wearing a t-shirt and shorts. I worked up a decent sweat doing it, too. So it begins.
Today was the first day of online classes in my teacher certification program. Like any first day of school, it was more about procedure than content, as the exercises were meant to help introduce people and teach us how to use the software. I feel good. I’m going to like this. And I’m going to do well at it.

I needed to buy a new mailbox today, as someone clipped the old one last night. After buying an incorrectly sized box from Wal-Mart, I carted the husk of a broken box with me to Lowe’s so I could match size directly.
