A new place.
We found a place to rent in the neighborhood around Rice University.
It’s in a somewhat stately, pre-WWII four-plex in an historic and upscale area.
The place just oozes character and is within walking distance of plenty of eclectic shops and eateries.
Basically, I’m finally going to be able to try urban living, something I’ve lusted after but failed to attain, until now.
Oh, the pressure.
I gave in the the little voice in my head that said an Aspire One was just the computer I needed.
Sure, I may not have *needed* it, but I got it on sale.

• Have I been accepted into the teacher certification program?
• Is Michael Phelps on the cover of every magazine in the whole world?
I’m hoping for yes,...

What fortune cookies have told me recently.
• It is very possible that you will achieve greatness in your lifetime. (Of course, it is also possible I will ride to the moon in a space car driven by an ape in a tuxedo, too.)
• Your fortune is on its way! (Great, they’re upselling me on a second cookie.)
• It is better the have beans and bacon in peace than cakes and ale in fear. (Can I have bacon and ale in some sort of half-peace,...
A credible wing. →
I’m not going to say Wing Stop, my dinner of choice tonight, was the best wing I’ve ever had. It’s not even my favorite wing chain — BW3, which introduced me to the wing, holds that title.
But, for a wing lover on a way-too-long wing fast, Wing Stop hit the spot tonight. And I’ll be back, too. It’s just five minutes from where I’m staying and the wings are...
